An Evening in Greece
Experience Greece on the Central Coast!
Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Arroyo Grande’s South County Regional Center
You walk into a room filled with the sound of Greek bouzouki music, the tantalizing smell of lamb on the barbeque and watch beautifully costumed children and adults dance authentic Greek village dances. Where are you? You think you’re in Arroyo Grande but you’ve traveled into an authentic Greek village taverna for the evening. And you’ve saved the cost of airfare and travel time! Welcome to “An Evening in Greece”.
Our annual “An Evening in Greece” will be held at the South County Regional Center in Arroyo Grande on Saturday, October 6, 2012. The authentic Greek Dinner Dance with Floor Show will be held from 5:00PM to 11:00PM.
This event is a fundraiser for St. Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church which supports many charitable groups in San Luis Obispo County such as the SLO Food Bank and the Prado Day Center.
This year, we are happy to announce the return of the popular SF Bay area band “Mythos”. This is the leading Greek band on the West Coast and they will be providing live music for our dancing and for the wildly popular floor show featuring authentic costumed Greek dance troupes. Dr. Paul Georghiou, our Master of Ceremonies, will be leading us in dance lessons so we can join everyone on the dance floor.
Please come hungry because there will be appetizers, a bar, and an elegant lamb dinner served on china and white linen tablecloths. We will have homemade Greek pastries available for purchase. A silent auction of beautiful items and raffle prizes will round out the evening.
Tickets may be purchased in advance and will cost $65 per person for adults for tickets purchased by September 24thth and will cost $75 per adult if purchased after that date. Tickets for students and children are available for $40 each. Reserved tables for 8 near the dance floor with two complimentary bottles of wine are available for $600. Reserve early, these seats are limited!
